Let's Make A Joyful Noise...Last Chemo , Last Unhook of the 48-Hour Fusion

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyLuIY8IyO4

What a Joyful Day...40 degrees and SUNNY in Chicago puts everyone in a good mood.

I went to Loyola Cancer Hospital to get my 5FU chemo bag unhooked for the last time. Hugs from the nurses and promises of prayers and good vibes.

I feel so incredibly HOPEFUL.  I continue to feel the fullness of God's Abundant Blessings....those blessings are YOU and every single person who's prayed for me, with me, over me.

I am almost at the year anniversary when my life and my family's lives changed.  I'm very weepy and emotional right now.

Now I wait, get things in order for New York Trip.
I'm already composing a prayer I would like to say when I see Dr. Fong, before my surgery.  I hope he doesn't mind.

What a huge responsibility Dr. Fong has - offering hope via his surgical skill.  Must be a burden too, when people like me go to him, it's serious stuff. Hmm, something to ponder

XOXOX

  1. Peg:

The sun also raised my spirits today and gave me a total different attitude about so many things. Amazing how a bright, sunny day in the 40's works!! I am so ready for spring and sharing time with you and the girls after you heal from this upcoming miraculous surgery. Can't wait.....

  3. Dear Peggy,

I stumbled across your blog a few days ago and in the short space of two hours I read up on your amazing year. A tale of incredible strength, optimism, highs and lows told with such grace and humour. You are a natural story teller and your tale has bought both shivers to my skin and tears of joy to my eyes.I am not a religious person but I believe your unyielding faith in your God is amazing and the strength you are able to summon in such hard times is phenomonal. I am so happy for you that you have that. You are an inspiration to all. Kick that cancer's ass!! :)
sending you love and hope from Australia

  5. I am soooo happy that you are able to say good=bye to that pump. We are praying for you and your dear family that this time between Elmhurst and NYC is spent absorbing all the good thoughts, wishes, prayers, vibes, karma that is continually being sent your way. Finally the finish line is in our vision. Our prayers are also for Dr. Fong and his staff that God guide their hands as they perform what they were put on His earth to do-HEAL. We love you Ms Peg and will be with you in spirit & prayer as you endure this chapter!
    Love Pam and Tay
