It was a lovely movie. Made me want to go out and make all of Julia Child's Recipies. I was salivating at all the food. Too bad I can't taste a thing. Really a dumb move. But I also love watching Food Network.
I have lots of food to look forward to when chemo is over some day!
Good Sunday morning,
ReplyDeleteMy sister Linda and her husband went to see the same movie and had the same reaction. She said, "I want to go and buy one of her cook books and make every recipe."
I really want to see the movie too but I'm not sure it would be good for me. I decided to change the way I eat, I want maintain a healthier lifestyle. So now it’s high protein, high fiber, unlimited fruits and veggies, low starch and no sugar way of eating. I feel really good but man oh man do I miss certain things. I always hear… all things in moderation but my problem is I never figured out how to moderate when it comes to certain foods.
I listened to what you had to say the other day and I’m starting with nutrition as my first big change in taking care of my system. I start my day with a shake including:
• Whey protein
• Flax seed
• Berry greens
• Fiber
• Frozen berries
• Rice milk
I must admit it took a little to get used to but now I look forward to them. I now eat six small meals each day and all contain one protein source, lots of fruits, veggies and only one starch each day. No processed flour or sugar. Oh and I can still have my red wine, yippee!!
Thanks for the kick in the pants and I’ll keep you posted as to how it goes. Have a great day today and I hope to see you soon!
